For selecting your darning variation use the following guidelines:

Materials Specifications:

Premium - For items from Luxury/High-end Brands, or made from premium materials such as virgin wool or imported European cashmere.

Standard - For items from most brands that are made of wool (merino, lambswool, etc.), cotton, or blends of various materials.

Size Specifications:

Small/Medium - Items with holes that appear to total less than 9 square inches, example: a 3”x3” square or 2.5” round hole.

Larger - Items with a hole, or many holes, that are larger than 9 square inches.

What is darning? Darning is a method to fix knits and can mend most types of damage. When you opt for darning, the garment can be restored with matching, or coordinating yarn. The end result is a restored sweater with either hidden patches, or contrasting color patches, either way a new layer of character is added to the garment.
